Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition

What I do at Coforma

I lead the Talent Acquisition team and partner closely with our hiring managers to find and hire good humans and make sure they're set up to grow, thrive, and succeed at Coforma.

Why Coforma

We celebrate the things that make us unique, and we embrace and honor the many different backgrounds and experiences our Cofolx bring to the table. We're intentional about building a culture of authenticity and maintaining a safe space where everyone can bring their true, full selves to work.

Who am I?

I'm originally from the Bay Area and have lived in Reno, NV since 2018. I have over a decade of experience in corporate talent acquisition in tech and have led TA teams at multiple startups across the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest.

I joined Coforma in 2022 and love that I'm able to use my skills and experience to make a positive impact and contribute to the greater good through civic tech.

I’m into all things Bay Area-related and enjoy cheering for all of our sports teams, especially the 5-Time Super Bowl Champion San Francisco 49ers. When I'm not at work you'll probably find me cooking in the kitchen, reading, or looking for the next show to binge (please feel free to send recommendations my way!)

Advice for prospective candidates

  • Do your homework! Do some research on who you'll be meeting (we'll give you names ahead of time), and do some reading on Coforma as a company. We appreciate when candidates know what our Values are and can speak to them!
  • We love to ask behavioral-based interview questions. Behavioral questions usually start with phrases like “Tell us about a time when” or “Share an example of". We want to understand what you owned and what you delivered. Expect follow-up questions such as, “What steps did you take?” or “What was the outcome?”
  • Listen carefully. If you don't fully understand the question, please ask! You can ask our interviewers to clarify or rephrase their question, and feel free to let us know if you need a moment to collect your thoughts before responding.
  • Be concise. Communication is important in all of our roles here, and we recommend being thorough but concise — in general, we'd like to hear about fewer things but in more detail. We want to hear the details of the challenges you've encountered and what exactly you did. It's helpful for us to hear about outcomes and impact, not just inputs.
  • Be yourself. We're not looking for perfection and we want to know the real you. We love hearing about your strengths, your values, and the things that make you, you!
  • Come with questions. Interviews are a two-way street, and we encourage you to interview us as well. We value curiosity and it's important to us that we provide you with the information you need to make the best decision for yourself and the next step in your career.
